Out of all the makeup transformation techniques, eyebrows are my favorite!
You can change a person’s face so drastically with such little product that the results can make me giddy. Now, eyebrows are obviously pretty low in overall life priorities, but when I’m in my little makeup bubble…it is all about the brows.
Blondes and redheads need not go super dark with their brows. The general rule of thumb is 2 shades darker than your hair color (about the color of your low lights if you have them). Brunettes should go 2 shades lighter. Gray brows should stick to light taupes; straight gray is too aging.
This image is a great guideline for a shaping your brows and finding your natural arch.
Some of my favorite brow products are:
Maybelline Define-A-Brow eyebrown pencil, Jordana Brow Powder, Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo (for their color choices) and Makeup Forever’s Aqua Brow (for longevity).
My favorite tools include Sephora’s Eyebrow Trimmer and Face Secret’s Mascara and Brow Brush.
1. Start by outlining your brow shape lightly with the product of your choice.
2. Next, lightly fill in with short strokes to imitate hair.
3. Finally, brush out your brows using a clean mascara wand or brow brush to achieve a natural look.
Good luck mamas, and until next time, stay beautiful!
