Farm To Table: Moms Night Out {TICKETS NOW ON SALE!}

You are invited to join our team for an amazing Farm to Table: Moms Night Out!

This night would not be possible without our presenting sponsors: Must Be The Milk and Farr Farms!

Must Be The Milk promotes their love for New England and New York dairy farms and farmers — simple as that. They think it’s time to talk about everything they do for us (sunrise to sunset), to keep our bodies healthy, our communities thriving and our land beautiful. By learning more about local farms and buying dairy products across the region, we can show our gratitude to these unsung heroes and ensure local dairy farms continue to serve as the cornerstone of our communities for centuries to come. No matter how you enjoy dairy, it’s undeniably in the DNA of New England and New York. It is the backbone of our communities — supporting local economies and preserving the open spaces we know and love. Must Be The Milk is an initiative of New England Dairy Promotion Board. So, what makes New England and New York so special? Must Be The Milk! {See what they did there?!} Learn more at www.MustBeTheMilk.com

Farr Farms is a 60 cow robotic dairy located in Richmond, VT. The farm is currently operated by Ashley Farr, his wife Erin, and their four daughters. The teenagers, Aislynn and Alexis, are very active in the day-to-day operations, and in showing their pedigree cows. The babies, Annabelle and Adalie, provide some help with chores, and lots of comic relief. The Farrs consider their cows to be part of their family and provide them with the best life they can. Their barn is set up as a robotic free-stall, allowing the cows to walk around freely, have 24/7 access to food, water, rest and can be milked when they choose. The cows operate on their own schedules, enjoy the comfort of waterbeds, and a ventilation system that helps them to stay warm in the winter, and cool, and bug free, in the summer months. The Farrs work closely with their nutritionist to provide a balanced diet to keep their cows healthy. Their veterinarian gives the cows regular checkups, vaccinations and prompt treatment if they get sick. The farm is a member of a co-operative of dairy farmers across the region. Milk from the farm is picked up by a milk truck and made into a variety of dairy products including Green Mountain Creamery yogurt and Garelick milk.

Fun fact: milk travels from the farm to the store shelf in less than 48 hours!
