Want a European food experience without leaving the city? A trip to Leunig’s Bistro, on Church Street, is all you need to be transported to that special little french cafe on the corner in Paris. Located on the corner of College and Church, Leunig’s has all the ambiance of Provencal France and all the flavor to match.

I myself have eaten there a handful of times and have been wowed at the extensive menu selections. Everything from Beef Bourguignon to Cider Braised Duck to Roasted Rack of Lamb and lots of yummy things in between. They feature local cheeses of Vermont as well as an extensive wine and aperatif menu. And for all of you out there who have gluten free needs, they even have a menu for that.

One other really wonderful thing about Leunig’s is that there are price options that everyone will love.

  1. Bistro Dinner: For $15 you have your choice of soup or salad WITH an entree. Served everyday from 4pm – 5:45pm.
  2. Split Entree: Should you decide that you just want to do one entree between you and your date you tell your server and they tack on a small fee and voila one meal becomes two.
  3. Bistro Breakfast: Saturdays and Sundays from 9-10, your choice of an appetizer and entree for $10.

BVTMB is pleased to announce that Leunig’s is giving away a Dinner For 2 Package (includes 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 desserts)! That’s a whole lot of french food in your future! Bon Appetit!

  1. I’m a sucker for Poutine, so I would have to start with that… then perhaps Steak Frites cooked medium, because I’m a meat & potatoes fan, and finish with a Bing Cherry Compote & Fresh Fruit.
Hubby would probably have the VT Sliders for starters, but may try to get all venison for the sliders, then perhaps either the Steak Frite like me, or maybe the Beef Bourguignon, and finish with the Bing Cherry Compote.

  2. My husband and I went there for our anniversary this year, and I’m pretty sure what I got was the VT Turkey Roulade, which was amazing! W sat outside and watched the street performer. Church Street has fantastic people watching….we had a blast!
