I love pictures. I love stories. I love how pictures can tell a story….my story, or to be more precise, my family’s story.
I have no good taste in art and so you will see no art on my walls. But you will see pictures of my most special people, places, and moments all over my house. They fill my living room, wind up my stairway, and sit next to my bed. I love to surround myself with my story, our story.
With all of this love that I’m dishing out I have to say that I love a good photographer. One who can capture those moments, those looks and glances, the emotion of a moment.
This picture did just that.
…..It said everything.
Introducing Mini Mi Photography.
Mini Mi was started by 2 moms. Kacie is a mother to 3 gorgeous children and Ali is a mom to 2 tiny beautiful people. In fact it was their kids who inspired them to get into the business. All the milestones, the dance recitals, the soccer games, all moments worth capturing led to these 2 best friends starting their own photography business. Because these moments were so important to them they decided to start a business to help others freeze time for those crucial moments as well. Kacie is the photographer and in her spare time she perfects her editing skills and increases her knowledge of the camera. Ali serves as the official “poser” of the two. What does that mean? She works those kids like a pro getting smiles at any cost, even a tube of mini m&m’s.
After seeing the above photograph I contacted Kacie and Ali and asked if we could work together. To my great fortune, they said yes. We corresponded via email setting dates and times. And they took the initiative of finding the perfect outdoor spot for us to have our photo shoot. To me that was so helpful, something I did not need or want to think about, they just simply took care of it.
We met them up at Indian Brook Park in Essex. They had already gotten there, set up some props, and laid out the shots beforehand…all we had to do was step into their vision. Ha! I wish it had all gone so smoothly. My 5 year old was constantly trying to steal the limelight and my toddler was running amok, which left me and my husband in opposite directions. Ali was working her tail off doing everything from jumping up and down, to playing “Elmo Calls” on her iPhone, to feeding my kids m&m’s. So how did these happen?
Mini Mi did it. They gave me more moments to hang on my walls, set beside my bed and treasure up for a lifetime. You see it’s not just a job for them, it’s fun. They love what they do and create relationships with their clients along the way. Many of the people they have worked with have called them again and again to keep capturing those moments. After this, I certainly will.
So if you’re looking to freeze some time and hang it on your walls then I would highly suggest giving Mini Mi Photography a call. They do all types of photography including family, maternity, newborn, close to mama’s heart sessions (nursing portraits) and birth photography. They will travel to your home or to a location of your choice. With the colder months upon us it becomes increasingly difficult to work outdoors, so they like to focus on the winter newborns. Mini Mi will come to your home and set up a mini studio complete with backdrops, accessories, and props. And they are currently offering a percentage off a full session to anyone who refers a pregnant momma after she books.
I’ll leave you with one last image. Hopefully the one that will push you over the edge and make you “like” them on FB or pick up the phone and give them a call. Here it is…
Or you could just enter the giveaway below to win ½ off a full session with them. Good luck!a Rafflecopter giveaway
