Moms Night Out at ArtsRiot Recap!

What do you get when you combine 100 women, 15 vendors, amazing food, giveaways, swag and more? A BVTMB Moms Night Out!  We had an amazing time at our Moms Night Out at ArtsRiot and loved having the opportunity to bring together local mommas for a fun, kids free night out! Keep reading to learn more about what this event looked like and be on the look out for our next Moms Night Out coming in March.

We held this Moms Night Out at the fabulous ArtsRiot in the South End. This newly created space was the perfect backdrop for an evening of fun! We loved the open and industrial feel to the space and were thankful that In Full Bloom gave us two beautiful floral arrangements that added some feminine touches to the space.

We were so thankful to have some amazing food at this event from some fabulous local businesses! Mommas enjoyed some delicious and unique appetizers and desserts from Quirky Eats, like Chicken Apple BBQ Tarts and Mexican Chocolate Cupcakes with Candied Jalapenos. Then there were the cupcakes and whoopie pies from Marley Cakes, cookies from Vermont Cookie Love, and the margarita donuts from Green Mountain Baked. And as if that wasn’t enough, Alex from Orange Leaf set up a mini fro-yo bar. Our mommas were well fed! Then they were able to wash it all down with yummy Spindrift Sodas or a drink from the cash bar. Our signature Moms Night Out Drink, “Don’t Tell Dad”, was a hit!

Part of the space was set up for mommas to be able to shop and interact with local businesses. We had Healing Earth Vermont Herbals, Crafty Necessities, Vicky from Silpada Jewelry, and Kacey from Non-Toxic Goods there to provide some fabulous shopping. Moms were also able to get bra fittings from Aristelle, meet Katie from It Works! and learn about their products, talk with Vermont Nanny Connection about their services for moms and families, get a spinal analysis and talk nutrition and fitness with the ladies from The Wellness Collective, and make their own yoga mat essential oil spray with Susan from Evolution Yoga.

Each ticket included one momma pampering service that each person was able to sign up for. We had lip and eyebrow waxing from Orbit, chair massage from Genie of Massage Journey, reflexology from Eileen of EarthySoul, acupuncture by Corey of the Wellness Collective, makeup tutorials by Beatriz of Vermont Makeup, and hand massages from Tootsies Mini Spa. Every Moms Night Out should include a little pampering!

We are so thankful to all of the local businesses that contributed so many amazing things to our giveaways for this event! We had 8 different raffle giveaways that each momma could enter; an Expectant Mom giveaway, a Busy Mom giveaway, a Photo Package giveaway, a New Momma giveaway, a Family Fun giveaway, an Active Mom giveaway, a Pamper Momma Giveaway, and a Date Night giveaway. We also had a Staycation Package giveaway that mommas could enter by completing a social media scavenger hunt and/or a get to know you game. Even if a momma didn’t win one of our giveaways, she was able to take home a swag bag FULL of goodies! Each bag had a $10 gift card to Orbit , a $10 gift card to Kids City, a $25 gift card to The Wellness Collective, product from Happy Family Organics, Healing Earth Vermont Herbals and Mamma Chia, samples from Orbit and Bella B Bodycare, a “Member for a Day” pass to Essex Resort and Spa, $3 off coupon to Regal Gymnastics Open Gym, coupons to Lake Champlain Chocolates, Tootsies, Dear Lucy, EarthySoul, and Beltrami Studios, and free class passes from Evolution Yoga and Artemis Fitness.

We also had Chris from Photobooth Planet Vermont bring Ruby, the VW Bus photobooth! So much fun took place in that photobooth, but I will just let the pictures speak for themselves 🙂

We were thrilled to be able to write a $140 check to Ronald McDonald House of Burlington from the ticket proceeds as well as donate a massive pile of items that they needed for their house! Thank you mommas for helping us bless this amazing charity!
