So if you have been reading this blog for any length of time, you might have picked up on the fact that I have a particular fondness for Etsy. OK, maybe borderline obsession would be a better way to phrase it. I just LOVE Etsy. It truly is filled with so many wonderfully talented people making adorable and beautiful things! And I love that when I buy from an Etsy shop, I know that I am supporting a person and their individual and unique passion. Add to these facts that you can also search for Etsy shops by location in order to support local crafters, and I call that ah-mazing! If you didn’t get a chance to check out my previous post about my top 15 local Etsy shops, you can hop on over and read it here. But I must say that when I wrote that post, I had no knowledge of Moxie B’s Closet, so a revision would definitely be in order as this little shop has to be on that list!

I’m set to give birth any day now to our second little girl and I was in desperate need of a new diaper bag. I had one with Nora that I wasn’t super fond of, so after I switched from a diaper bag to a purse I decided to sell it. As I began the hunt for a new one, I decided to check out some local Etsy shops to see if I could find what I was looking for. I happened to stumble across Moxie B’s Etsy shop after seeing the owner and shop highlighted in an article about local Etsy shops. I jumped to her store and LOVED what I saw! Berry’s store is full of handbags, totes, and accessories, all in fun and beautiful prints!

Berry grew up on a small island in the Pacific Northwest, and traveled to Vermont to attend Marlboro College. She moved between the coasts, but always found herself drawn back to New England. Her and her husband finally took the step they had been wanting to take for some time and moved to Waitsfield in the summer of 2012. It is here that her business really grew online, and her hope is that she can reach out to Vermonters who have such a strong commitment to supporting their local businesses.

Berry previously considered herself to be a person lacking in creativity. This business has helped her to realize that we all have the potential for creativity, which, when realized, can really enhance our lives.

Berry’s focus is always on providing her customers with a bag or accessory that they can feel is uniquely their own, and it’s also very important that they find it to be useful and comfortable. She tries to follow trends, but also provide a range of styles and fabrics that can appeal to diverse interests.

I saw that she had diaper bags that happened to be just the style I was looking for. I love the messenger style so that I can sling it across me and not have to worry about it falling off as I’m toting a toddler or babe around. I also loved that it was full of pockets to stick all of those odds and ends into so that everything has it’s place. Combine that with unique and fun fabrics to choose from and I was sold!

I contacted Berry and she graciously sent me a diaper bag to try out. I’ve been using it now for about two weeks and I’m happy to report that I’m still as in love as I was before! I’ve already received countless compliments on this bag and people asking where I got it from. I love how roomy it is so I can fit all my necessities, but nothing gets lost down in there because of the great design with all the pockets. I also love how the side pockets gather so I don’t have to worry about anything falling out. I love that I have a bag that is unique, functional, and fashionable!

Berry’s work is beautiful and I’ve already got my eye on one of her purses and I-pad covers for future purchases 🙂

  1. This etsy site is wonderful! What’s not to like? My favorite would also be the chevron bag or purse. The iPad cases are fun too! Great patterns!

  2. Love the amazing bright fabrics and another fan of the Chevron tote!

From another bi-coastal fam, love Oregon but Vermont is home 🙂

  3. I really love this bag:
Chevron Tote, Choose a Color, Chevron Bag, Large Chevron Tote, Beach Bag, Library Bag

    Thanks, Karen

  4. These patterns are all so fun! I wish I had these when I was carrying around a diaper bag! I suppose a purse will do just fine 🙂

  5. I would use the gift certificate for the aqua cheveron iPad case and cosmetic bag. But I’d use the cosmetic bag for pens and pencils and keep it with my office stuff. Thanks for the opportunity!

  6. I would love either of the large totes that are on sale right now… they look perfect for a large purse! Or the red mod cross body bag…. awesome!

  7. I would buy the fox print bag! It is so cute! I would use it as a diaper bag because my daughters is literally falling apart! The fox print is a great pattern for either a boy or girl or for this momma to use 🙂
