I don’t know about you, but I love a good nail polish. Somehow that little bottle of colored goodness can bring me out of the frumpiest of moods and make me feel like a whole new woman. So now that you know my affinity for polish, what could increase my love even more? Amazing, glittery, LOCAL nail polish!
Allison at Nail Patterned Boldness has a Etsy shop full of stunning polishes that she hand mixes herself here in Burlington. Her artisanal nail polishes each have a story, an inspiration, and a lot of hard work in them and the result is unique and complex colors you just can’t find anywhere else. Allison has had great success online but is hoping to create more of a local following here in VT. Now, not only can you find her polishes on Etsy, but you can stop by Salon Cruz on Pine St., Ecco Clothing on Church St, Healthy Living on Dorset St. in S. Burlington and the Winooski Art Market to pick up some of her polishes!
Shannon and I got the opportunity to review four of her polishes and here are some of our thoughts…

I don’t know how Allison packs so much glitter into one tiny bottle of nail polish but it’s unbelievable! I swear she must have elves working for her or a teenie tiny funnel. But I digress.
It took me forever to pick a color because they are all so eye catching. Outrageous oranges, blazing blues, and ravishing reds. For this review I finally chose to try “Don’t Drop That Spoon” (the teal colored one) and Allison sent me a selection of her own which was “Mrs. White”.
The polish comes packaged in the sweetest little bottles, a perfect stocking stuffer idea. It took me a bit to get used to the rough application of the glitter but as with any polish, it took only 2 coats to get really good coverage. A word to those of you who want a little boldness on your nails, be sure to also order the “glitter food”. This product can act not only as a base for a very smooth and glossy surface to start on but also as a topcoat in which it smooths out the roughness of the glitter.
I love the colors, love the glitter, and love the sassy name. If you want to add a dash of boldness to your life then I highly recommend trying Nail Pattern Boldness polishes. When I look down at my nails I feel like I have a festive little party happening right at the tip of my fingers.

I seriously love these polishes! I was able to try GruB Von Krampus (a limited edition polish) and Le Big Party and loved them both equally. I am currently wearing Le Big Party and I feel quite festive as there are green and red glitter specks that put me right in the holiday mood! If I were to describe these polishes in just one word I would say fun. They literally just bring a smile to my face each time I glance down, and who doesn’t want more of that in their life?!
So now you, our amazing readers, have a chance to win two of your own full size bottles of Nail Pattern Boldness polishes! Just enter the giveaway below and if you win you will get to pick out two colors to try for yourself!
