When Easter rolled around each year I remember my family organizing egg hunts for my cousins and I. Oftentimes it would be outside in the warm, sunny April weather. We’d scour the property for brightly colored plastic eggs hiding treats of candy and chocolate. Other times when the weather did not permit we would literally fall over each other running around my grandmother’s house leaving no pillow unturned. You’d have thought that we’d never had a single piece of candy before in our lives. Savage I think is an appropriate term.
Easter Egg Hunts have evolved in the last few years since I was a kid (think 20 years). Now they are highly organized events that the whole family can enjoy. And most egg hunts have age appropriate kid divisions which means that your 2 year old isn’t up against the faster, more agile 8 year old.
So if you’re on the hunt for a good egg hunt check out our list for what’s happening near you.

While this list includes many egg hunts in and around the greater Burlington area I realize that it is not exhaustive. I tried to include hunts from several regions to cover all you mommas out there, however, let me know where you like to hunt for eggs in the comment section below.
