“The BVTMB is getting real this week about a sometimes taboo, but important topic…S-E-X! Our team is sharing the good, the bad, and the ugly…and maybe the humorous and kinky too… about sex after kids in hopes that some of you can relate.”
In honor of Valentine’s Day and the release of a new racy movie, I thought we needed to address the lingerie drawer. I don’t know about you, but I feel more attractive if my undergarments are sexy. I prefer matching pieces and neutrals. Every once in a while, I’ll add a color to spice things up.
And you know, I used to wear my undergarments to impress the man in my life. When dating, I’d wear my best when I knew I’d see him. Obviously, marriage affects this department a bit. At one point, I didn’t care about my bras and panties. Who cared if they matched, fit perfectly or if I felt sexy. I was married with child(ren). My husband had “been there, done that” so why put as much effort into those pieces?
Then one day, I went shopping to buy new undergarments. I felt renewed and alive when trying on lace and padded bras. I didn’t know I actually could have cleavage!
Now I wear my sexy necessities for me. Sure, my husband enjoys them too. And it makes me feel like the beautiful attractive woman I am.
How to Get Your Attractive Lingerie Drawer
- Trash any garments that are ripped, stretched and otherwise makes you feel unattractive i.e. doesn’t fit right, rides up or uncomfortable.
- Sports bras or other transitional pieces like nursing bras are separated.
- I also have panties specifically for my periods. I don’t love these panties as much but they fit comfortably and they can get trashed.
- Invest in quality garments. You’ll feel more sexy when you love the lingerie your wearing.
Products you’ll need:
- Cardboard tubes*
- Paper clips or binder clips
- Saw to cut tubes
- Paint
*Alternatives to the tubes include PVC pipe, individual yogurt containers, wine box inserts cut to 3″ tall. I found toilet paper rolls too narrow and small.
First, cut the cardboard tubes to the appropriate height. I did mine 3″ tall and I can stuff 1-2 panties into the insert.
Second, paint the exterior of the cardboard tubes and the interior of your dresser drawer. Repeat until the pieces are covered well. Let dry.
Third, paper clip cardboard tubes together to prevent wandering pieces once in your drawer.
Fourth, paint or stencil a design to the interior of the drawer. I also did the cardboard tubes that were exposed (bra side). Let dry.
Fifth, add your bras and panties to your new sass and spice drawer.
