Beat the heat and humidity face first this summer without looking like you are melting.
Use my layering tips and tricks to look perfectly cool in photos or flawless at that August wedding!
First make sure you are using a good foundation/face primer. You can find a primer that includes a moisturizer or you can use the primer after you moisturize. The face primer will even out your skin texture, minimize the look of your pores, and help to keep your foundation on all day.
My favorite special occasion/high end primer is Set The Stage Makeup Primer by Whipped Hand Cosmetics .
Next apply your foundation as normal. A few long wearing options are MAC Pro Longwear, Revlon Colorstay, or Estee Lauder Double Wear.
Try a cream shadow and a water resistant liner. My favorite cream shadows are Maybelline’s Color Tattoo shadows because they come in a variety of wearable colors at an awesome price.
Choose a cream blush and set it with complimentary powder blush. This will extend its wear all day! My favorite drug store cream blushes are ELF HD blushes. They are extremely pigmented and the smallest dab will provide you with plenty of color.
Lastly, set everything with a loose powder, and most importantly, an excellent setting spray. My Holy Grail setting spray is Urban Decay’s All Nighter spray.
