{Disclaimer: BVTMB has partnered together with Red Clover Inn for this review. We love this beautiful inn and were happy to share about our experience. While I received a form of compensation for this post, the views and opinions expressed below are entirely my own!}

It has been a busy couple of months for the hubby and I. Between lots of work and my parents living with us over the summer, we had very little alone time as of late! So when Red Clover Inn offered for Robin and I to stay at their beautiful inn and write about our experience, I jumped at the chance!

Red Clover Inn is nestled away in Mendon, VT, which is just minutes from Killington and Pico, making it the perfect destination any time of the year! As you drive up the private road, you are immediately struck by the mountain views on all sides and the small, intimate feel of the property.  The inn itself is stunning, with so much of the original charm intact. Red Clover Inn has a long and interesting history, as it was once a family farm. I loved reading the history book about the inn located in their TV and game room in the inn- a fun read! homeslideshow-red-clover-inn-vermont-pico Our room did not disappoint. We were assigned the Ben Flint Room, also known as the honeymoon sweet. red clover 4 This room is huge, with stunning views, a fireplace, and a wonderful jacuzzi tub. If you read my review of the Swift House Inn awhile back, you will know that I have a love for jacuzzi tubs, so there might have been a little jumping up and down in excitement when I saw this beauty: Red Clover Inn 1 The grounds of the inn were just as stunning, with a beautiful fire pit area and a gazebo with a hot tub. Robin and I enjoyed that post dinner! Red Clover 6 They also had a fun cornhole game out that we just had to play. I may or may not have beat my hubby 😉 Red Clover 2 But what really sets this inn apart was their exceptional customer service and food. The head chef, Chef Colin, was actually the one who checked us in, and a comment that he made sums up everything about this charming inn. “Every person here, from myself to the dishwasher, is empowered to make your stay wonderful.” And wonderful it was.

We had the privilege of being able to try Chef Colin’s 3 Course Chef Tasting (which turned in to more like a 5 course tasting since they kept bringing us out delicious food!). I tend to classify myself as a somewhat picky eater, and I would definitely not put myself in the “foodie” camp. So the idea of a Chef Tasting, where I have no control over the food being brought out to me, was a bit intimidating. But I decided to go for it and be adventurous, and I am so glad I did! Every single dish that was brought out to us was amazing. We enjoyed the Bacon Wrapped Dates, Grilled Flat Bread Pizza, Duck Confit Rolls, P.E.I Mussels, the Vermont Lamb Shank and the Vermont Quail. Is your mouth watering yet? red clover food This farm to table cuisine’s excellence continued on into our breakfast meal (included in the stay). Every bite of food that we tasted at the Red Clover Inn was of superior quality. red clover breakfast The excellent staff spent quite a bit of time with us the afternoon of our arrival and in morning helping us to figure out some fun outings. We ended up hiking around Kent Pond, checking out the Swinging Bridge Swimming Hole, and taking the gondola ride up Killington and enjoying some stunning views! red clover fun red clover 6

Overall, we had an amazing stay at the Red Clover Inn, and if you are looking for a great place for a little getaway, be sure and check out this Vermont gem!

  1. I lost about 15 pounds in the first about 6
    weeks of my new diet and exercise plan. Having good nutrition and doing the correct exercises is of course essential.

    Everything sounds simple to date, but it just isn’t because how do you know the calories
    you might be consuming.
