As Vermonters, we are spoiled by endless choices of unparalleled local food and drink. Vermont Mom has painstakingly taste-tested the best of the best from all over our Brave Little State. Yes, we’re full and tired!
For our starter, we have cultivated the most luxurious adult peanut butter and jelly. Our choice of bread has the perfect texture and won’t fall apart after the first bite. Great Harvest makes their Farmer’s White daily. Delicious, local, and all-natural, yum! As for the peanut butter, well we have diverted just a bit and have gone with Nutty Vermonter’s maple, cinnamon 3-nut butter made with almonds, cashews, and pecans. We know, we know, the purists will revolt- but trust us on this one. It is delicious! And, isn’t it time for something different!
Now for the jam. Sweet but not too sweet and can hold up to the flavors of hearty bread and one-of-a-kind nut butter. The winner is Halifax Hollow’s wild grape jelly. This jelly offers the traditional fresh grape flavor with Vermont artisan refinement.
