Mitzvah Day

This year OZ Synagogue is celebrating Mitzvah Day with students from Temple Sinai and the Chavurah. They will be focusing on tzar baalei chaim or the prevention of cruelty to animals.

Their celebration with start with presentations from our bnai mitzvah students on their mitzvah projects and from the head of the Franklin County Humane Society. Make goodie bags for the shelter animals, have a service about the treatment of animals and then share a snack while looking at the Pet Hall of Fame!

Parents are asked to send their kids in with a new pet treat and toy to include in the goodie bags and a photo of your pet or, if you don’t have a pet and your child wants to, they can bring in a drawing or picture of an animal.

Cost: Free
