ArtsRiot Truck Stop
Every Friday, rain or shine, heat wave or cold snap, join ArtsRiot at their Truck Stop. Food trucks of Vermont unite!
Starting at 5PM you can find trucks selling everything from pork belly and barbecue to Malaysian street food and vegan noodles. Artsriot tries to keep the variety different by rotating trucks including: Burger Barn: Dolce VT, Farmers and foragers, Hog and harvest, Ital way of living, Jam bake shop, Lazy farmer, Nikon souvlaki, One hearth, Pie empire, Pigasus meats, Pingala cafe, Queen City pops, Scouts honor Popsicles, Southern smoke, Starbird fish, Taco Gordo, Taco truck all stars, The hindquarter, Vermont krunch toffee, Waffle wagon, Wooden spoon bistro, Food shelf truck and Headless BBQ.
And their bars are hopping! Outside in the main Truck Stop bar sponsored by Fiddlehead Brewing, you can find Fiddlehead IPA, specialty Fiddlehead brews, Citizen Cider, and wine. Inside the full bar is open featuring some killer frozen mojitos!
The Truck Stop is always free. Come eat, drink, meet your neighbors, and enjoy!

Waterbury Not Quite Independence Day Celebration
As is the tradition for the town of Waterbury, they will celebrate Independence Day the Saturday before the 4th of July. This year the event is being held at the Farrs Field.
- 11:00am parade in village.The parade route runs North on Main St, starting at Demerit Place (Subway, and Waterbury Pharmacy) and finishes at Dac Row Field (Railway trestle bridge).
- 12:00 pm Independence Day Festival: Besides featuring the annual Saturday morning parade and evening fireworks extravaganza, Waterbury’s Not-Quite Independence Day (NQID) celebration will include a new BBQ Festival over Saturday and Sunday with authentic barbecue, food trucks, craft brews and live music. More than 3,000 BBQ enthusiasts will come to watch 25+ pit masters from across the region compete in the Green Mountain BBQ Championship – sanctioned as a Vermont state BBQ championship by both the Kansas City Barbeque Society and New England Barbecue Society. This event supports Rotary Club of Waterbury, a local nonprofit association.

Abenaki Heritage Weekend @ Lake Champlain Maritime Museum
This special weekend, hosted by Lake Champlain Maritime Museum and presented in partnership with the Vermont Commission on Native American Affairs, gives visitors an Abenaki perspective on life in the Champlain Valley. Members of the Elnu Abenaki Tribe, the Nulhegan Band of the Coosuk and Koasek Traditional Band of the Koas Abenaki Nation, and the Vermont Abenaki Artists Association work with Museum staff to plan and present the event, with the advice and support of the Commission.
The Native people at this event are experts in the living indigenous arts and traditions which they come together to share with one another and with visitors. They have inherited, researched, reconstructed, or apprenticed to learn the techniques with which they create outstanding beadwork, quillwork, basketry, pottery, woodworking and other items for personal use or for sale. Tribal members will also share songs, drumming, dancing, games, food preparation, and other life skills.
